Pride 2015

This year, I decided to go with a few friends to Pride in London. It was such an amazing atmosphere! With lots of different outfits and people, it was a very colourful and happy event!

We chose to watch the parade outside John Lewis in Oxford Circus, where it began. We had front row seats - I mean standing, so we're able to see everything, get loads of sweets and get covered in stickers :)
Here's a few snapshots of the day:

Even M&S were celebrating with this glass refraction without even realising :)
Happy Pride everyone!

ZSL Sunset Safari 2015

With the weather becoming warmer and the sun staying out for longer, it's a perfect time for a visit to London Zoo's Sunset Safari! Every Friday evening until July 17th, ZSL are staying open from 6pm-10pm so you can see the animals roaming around as the sun goes down.

What's even better? You can purchase your ticket with a 50% discount thanks to TimeOut! Kids can go for £11.20 with adult tickets at £16. Make sure to arrive on time as there are talks at certain times for different animals and also quite a lot to cover! Click here for talk times.

I think my favourite part was walking through the lemur's area as you can get up close with them :)

Even caught this one meditating whilst enjoying the last few rays of sunshine before the sun set!
The meerkats were also very cute to look at but not adorable as the otters!
We found one penguin that seemed to like showing off how many lengths it could do :)

Feeling hungry? Make sure you don't miss out the World Food Market right …

Indian Room in Balham

In February, we did something a little different this year to celebrate Chinese New Year. As my sister's in-laws were in the UK, rather than spending lots of time in the kitchen, we decided to go to Indian Room in Clapham South. So here's a very delayed post! I hope you're hungry :)

For starters we ordered some poppadoms with a range of colourful dips including mint and a very fruity chutney.
For my main course, I went for a non-vegetarian thali, which is a platter of chicken tikka massala, lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka, pulau rice and naan. The is also a vegetarian thali available, which was also very nice.
The other mains ordered included 3 chicken biriyanis and this other dish that I can't remember the name of (oops). My sister ordered the shank of lamb and loved it.
Tempted? Print off the voucher below for a 25% discount but make sure to mention when booking in advance just in case it's changed :)
