ZSL Sunset Safari 2015

With the weather becoming warmer and the sun staying out for longer, it's a perfect time for a visit to London Zoo's Sunset Safari! Every Friday evening until July 17th, ZSL are staying open from 6pm-10pm so you can see the animals roaming around as the sun goes down.

What's even better? You can purchase your ticket with a 50% discount thanks to TimeOut! Kids can go for £11.20 with adult tickets at £16. Make sure to arrive on time as there are talks at certain times for different animals and also quite a lot to cover! Click here for talk times.

I think my favourite part was walking through the lemur's area as you can get up close with them :)

Even caught this one meditating whilst enjoying the last few rays of sunshine before the sun set!

The meerkats were also very cute to look at but not adorable as the otters!

We found one penguin that seemed to like showing off how many lengths it could do :)

Feeling hungry? Make sure you don't miss out the World Food Market right in the centre of the zoo, where you can find something for everyone. There's hot dogs, burgers, chips, quinoa, candy floss, churros and more stalls to choose from :)

I went for the hot dog (after walking round 4 times..) and was not disappointed.

With the queues being so long we were running out of time to see the other areas so only ended up visiting the amphibians area as the rest of the sections were closed :(

There's lots to see so make sure you grab a map and plan where you want to go first as it will take longer than you think and some areas close at 9pm, with a few others at 9:30pm. Happy animal spotting :)
